Judging a market segment in this instance is done on usage, if we as an example have 2 imaginary companies that both have only one products that is identical function wise, let’s say a 4 stage phaser, but one delivered it in a rack mount version and the other is shipping a pedal version we would classify the company making the rack unit a pro-audio company and the one making the pedal a musical instrument accessory manufacturer, quite simply the pedal is clearly intended to be used as a part of a performance and controlled by a musician while the rack mount version is meant to be controlled by some sort of a technician.
