Grover-Trophy Music Company Long running USA based company originally named "Grover Musical Products, Inc" but trades these days mostly as "Trophy Music Company" but has in the past also traded as "Grossman Music Corporation". The company specialises in importing and distributing mostly Asian and European musical instruments and musical instrument accessories that they then sell under their own brands. Grover-Trophy sells all kinds of musical instruments, primarily intended for children, schools and music students under the Trophy brand, recorders under the Flutophone, Cambridge, Tudor and Candy Apples names, band instrument parts and accessories under the BandStand name, guitar and other string instrument hardware under the Grover brand, drums and percussion products under the Duplex, Drum Corps, Cleveland and Clevelander brands, travel guitars and dulcimers using the Applecreek name, musical instruments in children sizes and educational material under the 1st Note and Melody Harp banners, and musical toys and the like under the Circustime, Hum-A-Zoo, Musictime and Let's Party names, wind instrument accessories under the Thum-Eez and Sterisol brands, spares for musical instrument cases under the Just in Case name and finally batons under the Symphony name. The company also sells bridges for classical string instruments under the Bausch name but note that has no connection to the original Bausch Leipzig made bridges. The company also distributes Feadóg Teoranta, Paganini rosins from Walter Geipel and some of the products of Petz Kolophonium in the USA. Historical brand names: In the past Grover/Trophy/Grossman has used names such as Titan for drums and electronic drums, Phrogg Percussion for Latin percussion instruments, GT Percussion appears to have been used by the company for a short while after the turn of the century for drums and percussion instruments, a decade earlier the Great Dane brand was used for similar products and in the 80's and early 90's the company used Drum Clinic for drum accessories and parts, they also sold flutes under the Alpine brand for 30 years but abandoned that mark recently, sold manuscript paper under the K.LITH Visionese and Crestline names, but the latter name later showed up on anything from microphones to band instruments. Theodor Kreutzer was a brandname that the company had been using for budget/student string instruments such as cellos and violins since 1930 at the least and well into the 1970's and possibly even later, these mostly came from central Europe, Capitol was another long running brand from them used on almost anything musical they sold except for the products branded TK. Flutes and recorders made out of plastic were sold under the Duranite name, Dixie was used for "traditional southern" instruments from the late 40's and into the 60's, that means fifes, drums and banjoleles, Skylark was used on whistles and Champion was used for a time alongside the Capitol brand in the 40's but appears to have been phased out pretty quickly. The company also sold pre-shaped bells for brass DIY and repairers under the Vibra-Bell name in the 60's and 70's.. -- Official homepage. -- Cleveland drums homepage Distribution : Grover violin and other classical string related products are distributed in Europe by Petz Kolophonium, Thum-Eez products distributed in the UK by Barnes & Mullins Grover-Tropy Music Company, 3800 Kelley Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44114, USA
