Hosco
Japanese musical instrument manufacturer and trading company. Hosco makes mid and high end musical instrument parts such as nuts and saddles made out of shaped bone and tools intended for musical instruments production, that includes specialist tools such as jigs and hand tools such as chemically polished files, saws, pliers and so on. In addition they sell string instrument kits; these include acoustic and electric guitars, ukuleles, violins and mandolins.

The parts and the kits are usually sold under the Hosco name but on a smaller scale the company also makes solid-body electric guitars & basses under the Scooh’z label and also run a Chinese factory that manufactures acoustic guitars and ukuleles, these are sold under the Reuben name for steel string guitars, classical guitars under the Andalusia name and the ukuleles are sold under the Lahaina name, they have in the past also sold acoustic guitars using the Wood Land brand. The company also acts as a non-exclusive worldwide distributor of DoMo, Gotoh and Suzuki Violin Co. and was BTW named Hosokawa & Co. until about 2007.

Japanese company that manufactures guitars, basses and related instruments and accessories under the Ibanez brand and drums under the Tama name. Company originally founded in 1908 as a music publisher and store, and in addition to the above labels have used others such as Maxxas to brand their guitars and Star Drums & Camco on drums.
